Hi friends!

It has been such a long time since I last wrote a blog. About a month ago, I started thinking about coming back to this space. I missed hearing from you and, most of all, sharing our progress in a more intimate way.

Then came the challenge: I had lost all my passwords. I couldn’t access my old phone number or recovery email either. But thankfully, I managed to retrieve my blog account — and here we are.

When I went back and read our old blog posts, all I could think was: WOW.
We have come such a long way.

So much has happened.
So much growth.
So many beautiful projects now running.

Are you still here, our dear readers? Because I have so much to update you on.

From now on, I will be blogging once a week, sharing detailed updates about our progress. These will be much more in-depth than what a social media post can hold. So even if you don’t follow us on social media, you won’t miss a thing here.

Welcome to the Home,Jinja, Uganda

Having lived with and witnessed the problems of volunteers, Sharon is here to meet their needs through the home.By providing a good quality , cheap home setting kind of accommodation for volunteers living and working in and around jinja.

The home is set in beautiful grounds in the center of Jinja and has rooms available for rent all year round.
Each room is fully equipped with a bed ,bed sheets,towels and a mosquito net.
Depending on the room chosen, from self contained to single rooms, the prices go from 150000 to 400000 shillings per month.

Guests can take advantage of our expert knowledge about tours and travel. Since the home is in close relationship with many tour and travel agencies,a free tour and travel guidance is offered at the guest's request.



The Home of Arise and Shine is also a perfect place to meet international friends. Volunteers coming from all over the world meet here and share their experience.
